Sydney Australia

This was the first settled state in Australia when Captain Arthur Phillip arrived in what is now Sydney at Port Jackson with 12 boatloads of convicts and redcoat soldiers. Our guides will take you through the famous Rocks area describing times gone by as you walk through historic buildings. Visit the many museums, art galleries and Taronga Zoo. A cruise on Sydney Harbour and a visit to the Opera House are two musts. Days and overnight tours are recommended to the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley for wines and gold and Southern Highlands for historic towns, wine, golf and gardens.

Or take a plane ride to outback Broken Hill, visiting Mutawintji Aboriginal lands, Kinchega National Park and its spectacular Minindee Lakes, Mungo National Park, and the Opal Mining town of White Cliffs with the fun of sleeping in an Underground Motel and talking with the locals. In other parts of New South Wales, stay in a luxury safari camp surrounded by tall eucalyptus forest, a beachside bungalow right on the beach, a sophisticated resort in the heart of the Blue Mountains, or with a friendly family on a farm where you can take part in day-to-day activities.

Wineglass Bay Tasmania

Our island State has much to offer from rugged Bruny island for scenery, endemic birds, penguins and other small mammals to Hobart the capital with its history from convict time and Launceston and towns north. The northwest of Tasmania gives you the historic town of Stanley and Woolmark at the very tip. Make a visit to Port Arthur convict prison which holds so much history of the convict times, visit the beautiful town of Strahan and cruise on the magnificent Gordon River to view incredible wilderness scenery, walk the trails of Cradle Mountain, and sit and ponder the beauty of Wine Glass Bay in Freycinet National Park. Feed the native possums, quolls and Tasmanian Devils from your remote and cosy cabin.

Great Ocean Road Victoria

Excellent for gardens, galleries, tram rides specially setup for dinner and for showing you around the suburbs, koalas in the National Parks, rugged mountains and Penguins. Melbourne is a very cosmopolitan city with wonderful restaurants and home to the Australian football game - Aussie Rules and the Australian Open Tennis Classic in January. In country Victoria, stay in a country pub in a quaint little mountain town, or one of the most luxurious properties in Australia on the famous Great Ocean Road, or in a cabin at Halls Gap in the Grampians National Park – or cruise along the beautiful Murray River on a paddle-steamer. There are superb vineyards in the Yarra Valley, on Mornington Peninsula and throughout country Victoria.

McLaren Vale in South Australia

Adelaide is a pictureque city with wide streets and set in squares, wonderful museums and galleries and great shopping. Day trips to the vineyards of the Barossa Valley, Clare Valley and McLaren Vale will have you tasting some of the best wines in the world. Kangaroo Island is a must to spend two days with our excellent guiding company - rugged coastline, koalas, Tamar wallabies and Kangaroo Island Kangaroo (both only found on the island), plants, flowers, great food and wines. The South Australian outback provides experiences you’ll remember for a lifetime. Stay in a private villa surrounded by bushland and superb views of the Flinders Ranges, take a safari in the Gawler Ranges, hire a houseboat on the Murray River, visit the wetlands of the Coorong for vast numbers of waders and other birdlife.

Whale Sharks - Western Australia

If you want to be adventurous we suggest the Indian Pacific train across the Nullarbor to Perth, or fly in daily. Visit Rottnest Island travelling by boat down the picturesque Swan River, where you will find the unusual Quokkas, Wildflowers in WA are at their best in September, October, miles and miles of fantastic colour.

At the top of WA we have Broome and then the Kimberleys and the Bungle Bungles - excellent outback. Or you might like to swim with the dolphins. There is much to do.

Kings Canyon Northern Territory

Darwin is our most northern city and from here you link with Kakadu National Park, Katherine and other outback areas. The Top End is filled with billabongs (waterholes), crocodiles, giant termite mounds, colourful birds, kangaroos, Aboriginal art and crafts and magnificent escarpments and waterfalls. Stay at a safari camp in Arnhem Land on a Registered Sacred Site where you can view ancient Aboriginal Rock Art and view the abundant wildlife in the area. Take an extended tour through Kakadu, Nitmiluk and Litchfield National Parks for a comprehensive understanding of these very important and beautiful Parks. Spend time in an Aboriginal community to learn of the culture and art of its people. Alice Springs is in the heart of Australia and the surrounding desert landscapes are truly inspiring. Rugged ranges, sharp gorges, dry river beds combine with a colourful culture to produce images not seen anywhere else. There’s much to see in this famous town – historic buildings, remote are services such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the School of the Air, art galleries and museums featuring the best of Aboriginal art, and a ‘must go’ – the Alice Springs Desert Park. Of course, Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) are essential in any visit to central Australia. These are of major importance to Aboriginal culture and heritage and visitors are given the opportunity to learn of the significance to the local indigenous people. Tours around the base of Uluru and in the valleys of Kata Tjuta are invaluable experiences.

World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef -QLD

The capital Brisbane in the south of this large state offers a variety of activities including a visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and kayaking on the Brisbane River, and is the ‘hopping off’ city for the exceptional nature lodge of O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat in the Lamington National Park renowned for it’s fabulous views, rainforest tours and walks, and diverse range of birds and mammals. In the other direction is Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island which offers tours of this, the largest sand island in the world as well as dolphin and whale-watching cruises.

Further north, the Whitsunday Islands provide the ultimate in sailing and cruising, with crewed and bareboat yacht and motor launch trips taking visitors to pristine beaches, fabulous snorkeling and diving locations on the Great Barrier Reef, and magnificent island scenery

Tropical North Queensland offers a host of activities for everyone. Cairns and Port Douglas are departure points for the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and snorkeling and diving day trips take you to the very best locations to view the vast array of colourful fish and spectacular coral formations. There are extended diving trips to ribbon reef on the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef.

The tropical World Heritage listed rainforest area of tropical north Queensland is a ‘living museum’ of flora and fauna. Canberra - Australia's Capital

Canberra where the Federal Government presides over parliament and the politicians live and work it is approximately central between Sydney and Melbourne, and well worth a visit. This beautifully planned city, with its magnificent Lake Burley Griffin, features the National Museum, the National Art Gallery, the National War Memorial, and of course, the extraordinary Parliament House which is a Canberra ‘must do’!
